How to Bet
Bankroll and Unit System
A bankroll is the total amount you can afford to designate towards betting.
It's important that you only use a portion of your bankroll.
For our system one unit is 5% of your entire bankroll.
If your bankroll is $500 one unit is $25.
In your bankroll is $1,000 one unit is $50.
If your bankroll is $10,000 one unit is $500.
We will tell you how many units to wager on each game.
Please stick to your units because this gives you the greatest opportunity to grow your bankroll and be successful.
Moneyline Bet
When you make a moneyline wager, you bet on the outright winner of the event without taking the point spread into consideration. There are still favorites and underdogs, but instead of being handicapped or assisted by head starts, the competitors are given odds to win the game or event.
Runline Bet
Runline betting in baseball almost mimics NFL Spread Betting exactly, which is the most popular type of football betting. The line for baseball run lines is 1.5. With a 1.5 run line you will be able to place a wager on the favored team to win by 2 runs or more, or the underdog team to lose by 1 run or to win the game.
Parlays
A parlay, or combo bet, is a selection of 2-12 bets linked together on the bet slip. Winning the parlay requires all of your individual bets to win. Even one losing bet can deem the parlay a loss. The more you risk, the better the payoff. The more bets added, the more your potential payout increases.
Betting on Baseball
Betting on baseball is different than football or basketball because a points spread is not used, Baseball is a money line bet and the odds depend heavily on the pitcher. For baseball you just have to win the game.
Betting on Football and Basketball
Football and basketball is bet using a points spread with a moneyline. Winning is determined by the the final score with a point spread factored in.
Betting on Hockey
Betting on hockey has a moneyline and sometimes a puck bet. With puck bets, depending on the odds sometimes you can win with the underdog even if they lose by a goal or to win with the favorite you may need to win by two goals. It depends on the game’s odds.
